Command Chief Warrant Officer 5 (R) Jeffery Burmeister hails from Chicago, Illinois, and entered the military in 1984. He was commissioned as a warrant officer in 1998, held various positions in special operations, and worked extensively with the interagency. His final assignment prior to retirement was as the Command Chief Warrant Officer, United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS). CW5 (R) Burmeister has numerous overseas, combat and operational deployments in the U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Central Command areas of responsibility.

CW5 (R) Burmeister is a graduate of the National Defense University Joint Special Operations Master of Art Program where he earned a degree in Strategic Security Studies.
